Established in 2000, Anywaa Survival Organisation is a nonprofit organisation that serves people without voice and deprived of their fundamental human rights. For fifteen years, Anywaa Survival has been promoting human rights and campaigning against land grabs affecting the indigenous peoples of the Gambela region in southwest Ethiopia. We aim to create awareness about the environmental and social consequences of the unprecedented land deals occurring in the region and their associated human rights violations. We provide assistance and advocacy services to communities and individuals. We also generate information for activists, organisations, the media, and world leaders to empower them to make informed decisions. We are a dedicated team conducting research, documentation, and dissemination of information on indigenous rights and land grabbing in the Gambela region and beyond.
